YOUR SUNDAY BLOGGERS PROJECT
I've often said that I didn't have the bloggiest idea what I was doing when I started blogging here at KittyLitter. I posted text and linked to articles, but I didn't post picures, and KL wasn't set up for comments. (Blogger was not as advanced back in Nov. '03 when I began.) It wasn't until I "met" Pat, who was primarily blogging at KerryHaters then, that I learned how to do those things, which is why I occasionally refer to him as St. Patrick. He taught me the ropes of blogging. Probably the most difficult one to learn was trackback, which is how bloggers let other bloggers know that they've linked to one of their posts. It's like a calling card. Pat figured it out and then he taught me. Ironically, it's quite easy. Trackback not only has the potential of increasing your blog's traffic, it's simply a common courtesy. Yesterday, THIRDWAVE put out an S.O.S. signal for help with trackback. I posted his plea on LifelikePundits, and St. Patrick not only stepped in as usual, he posted an absolutely EXCELLENT trackback explanation (with pictures!) at Brainster which even I understood! So, any of you bloggers reading this who have not yet installed trackbacks, hop over to Pat's Brainster and LEARN HOW! Pat makes it easy, you'll see. And once again, thanks to St. Pat! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a few trackbacks to do :)
