Pat Hynes at AnkleBiters would vote for McCain over Her Royal C (figuratively speaking) “in a nano-second”: You all know my basic feelings about McCain. I'm no big fan and probably will not vote for him in the New Hampshire primary (someone better will come along, right? Right?) But I would vote for him in a nano-second over Hillary Clinton and any other Democrat who, at this time, is discussing the prospects of running for the presidency.
I agree with Rush that Hillary is far from an unbeatable candidate: I'm just trying to point out to you here that, despite all of this spin campaign that has been ginned up on [Hillary’s] behalf for the last 13 years, it hasn't worked, for a whole host of reasons, but the main reason is her. There's just not that much likable about her, and there really hasn't been.
Pat says: It's just the sine wave theory of political reporting. There's nothing to report on campaigns for the White House right now, so the chattering classes have to generate some buzz. Hillary will surf up and down on the sine wave for the next two years, but the buzz will always be about Hillary. Which is exactly the way she wants it.
Jonah Goldberg chimes in: LIBERALS ARE sizing up Hillary Clinton for the umpteenth time, and they don't like what they see.
HOWEVER, just for argument's sake, supposin' the Dems nominate Her Royal C. In order to beat HRC the Republicans will have to turn out in full force to vote, but for whom? God forbid, if the Republicans lose their minds and nominate McCainiac, for whom would you vote?
